During his time as president assets rose from around $1 million to almost $4 million in the mid-1950s.
He provided stability in leadership and vision at a crucial time fo r the financial institution. Ralph Mason, a cashier at the bank from 1935 until 1939, assumed the presidency on the cusp of the depression and the beginni ng of World War II.
